Your Privacy
Is By Design
PixelSEO does not collect, store or process your personal data. This policy explains exactly how we work and why.
Who We Are
PixelSEO is a service operated by PixelBay Agency, a UK-based web design and development studio. References to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to PixelBay Agency.
Our website is pixelseo.uk. Our agency website is pixelbay.uk. For general enquiries or privacy-related matters, please use the contact form at pixelseo.uk/contact.
Data We Collect
We are committed to collecting as little data as possible. Here is a complete and honest account of what we collect and why.
When you use the free scanner
When you enter a URL into the PixelSEO scanner, our server fetches the HTML of that page so your browser can analyse it. During this process:
- The URL is not logged or stored
- Your IP address is not logged or stored
- No session data is created or retained
- No cookies are set by the scanner
- All analysis happens in your browser - our server is involved only for the fetch
We genuinely have no record of which URLs have been scanned, by whom, or when.
When you contact us
If you submit an enquiry via our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
Server logs
Like all web servers, ours may retain standard server access logs which can include IP addresses and pages visited. These are held for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes only and are not used for any form of profiling or tracking.
How the Scanner Works
PixelSEO is built around a privacy-first architecture. Understanding how it works explains why it is inherently GDPR compliant.
When you scan a page, your browser cannot fetch content from other domains directly due to a browser security policy called CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing). Our PHP proxy works around this by fetching the target page HTML and returning it to your browser. This is the only moment our server is involved.
Once the HTML arrives in your browser, all processing - the parsing, checks, scoring and report generation - happens entirely on your device. No data about the results, the URL or your identity is sent back to our server at any point.
This means compliance is architectural, not administrative. There is no personal data to protect because none is collected.
Cookies
PixelSEO does not use cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any other third-party tracking tool on this website.
Your browser may store items in local storage during a scan session to maintain your results on screen. This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab or start a new scan.
We do not display a cookie consent banner because we have nothing to consent to.
Third Parties
We use a small number of third-party services to deliver PixelSEO:
Font Awesome
We use Font Awesome icons loaded from the cdnjs.cloudflare.com CDN. When your browser loads these resources, Cloudflare's servers will receive your IP address as part of the standard request. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to this interaction.
Web fonts
The Manrope typeface used on this site is self-hosted. We do not make any calls to Google Fonts or any other external font service.
Hosting
PixelSEO is hosted on an extremely secure UK hosting infrastructure. Standard hosting logs may be retained by our hosting partner in accordance with their own privacy policy. All servers are based in the United Kingdom.
PixelBot
PixelSEO includes PixelBot, an AI chat assistant powered by Google Gemini. If you interact with PixelBot, your questions are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for information on how they handle API requests.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
